Africa’s top public health agency has officially declared an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s eastern Ituri province after hundreds of infections and dozens of deaths were reported. The Africa CDC said around 246 cases and 80 deaths have been recorded, mainly in gold-mining towns. Uganda also confirmed an imported Ebola case involving a 59-year-old man who later died, raising concerns about regional spread. #Ebola #DRC #AfricaCDC #Health
