US President Donald Trump has nominated longtime ally Kari Lake as the next American ambassador to Jamaica. Lake recently led efforts within the Trump administration to dismantle the federally funded broadcaster Voice of America through her role at the US Agency for Global Media. If approved by the Senate, her appointment would mark a major diplomatic role following her high-profile involvement in conservative political and media battles. #USA #KariLake #Jamaica #Politics
