Millions of Muslim pilgrims gathered in deeply spiritual and peaceful surroundings to observe the Standing at Arafat, the most significant pillar of the annual Hajj pilgrimage near Mount Arafat. Pilgrims spent the day in prayer, supplication, and remembrance of Allah before departing for Muzdalifah after sunset.
