Gujarat Forest Minister Arjun Modhwadia has said that the recent deaths of eight Asiatic lion cubs in the Gir landscape were caused by extreme heat and resulting weakness, not by infection as initially feared. Authorities had quarantined 17 lions as a precautionary measure, with 12 already recovering and returning to the wild. Officials say the remaining lions are also expected to be released soon, easing concerns about a possible disease outbreak in the region. #Gir #AsiaticLions #Gujarat #Wild
