Japan fought back twice to earn an entertaining 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in their opening World Cup match. The Dutch appeared on course for victory after Virgil van Dijk’s second-half goal, but Japan refused to surrender. Koki Ogawa’s late header, which took a slight deflection, secured a valuable point and ensured both sides began their Group F campaigns with plenty still to play for. #WorldCup2026 #Japan #Netherlands #Football
