Preparations are underway for the annual replacement of the Kiswa, the black cloth covering the Holy Kaaba, as the Islamic New Year begins. Specialized teams have started removing decorative elements and gold-embroidered ornaments in accordance with longstanding tradition. The new Kiswa will be installed on the first day of Muharram 1448 AH, continuing a historic practice associated with one of Islam’s most sacred sites. #Kaaba #Kiswa #Makkah #IslamicNewYear #SaudiArabia #Muharram
