More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET-UG retest conducted across India under heightened security arrangements, over a month after the examination was cancelled due to an alleged paper leak. According to the National Testing Agency, the pen-and-paper test was held at 5,440 centres nationwide and 14 overseas locations. Over 7 lakh officials, including police personnel, security staff and examination workers, were deployed to ensure a smooth and secure process. #NEETUG #NEET2026 #Educa
